Wedderburn Road gardens are generally quite large and many have fruit trees in them, some ancient and dating from the time when part of the road was an orchard.
Abundance Malvern have been in touch with us to ask if any one has surplus fruit, such as apples and pears, from their garden which is just going to waste. If you have, they can make good use of it.
Abundance Malvern is a community enterprise group which aims to pick as much surplus fruit as possible in the local area. In past years they have distributed it to whoever wanted it. This year they plan to take it to Clive’s Fruit Farm for juicing and bottling. They will then sell the bottles to their helpers and fruit donors at close to cost price, with any profits to be put back into the enterprise.
If you do have surplus fruit or would like to help in any way please contact them using the details below.
